12.29.00

In an effort to increase its capabilities, meet a broader spectrum of customer requirements, and extend its reach into more diverse markets, Wyman-Gordon parent company, Precision Castparts Corp., acquired assets of the Drop Dies & Forgings Company of Cleveland, Ohio on December 29, 2000.

Now known as Wyman-Gordon Forgings (Cleveland), Inc., the former Drop Dies and Forgings Company has been meeting industry design challenges since 1919. It has a reputation for the production of high-quality specialty forgings from difficult-to-forge metals. Specializing in the smaller forged products, Wyman-Gordon Forgings (Cleveland), Inc. manufactures forgings from as small as a few ounces to as large as 10 pounds in its 85,000 square foot facility.

Wyman-Gordon Forgings (Cleveland), Inc. produces both ferrous and non-ferrous forgings, including aluminum, titanium, and high-temperature nickel superalloy components. Its products serve the aerospace, transportation, chemical processing, semiconductor, medical and nuclear industries.
